Pamela Robertson is Professor of Mackintosh Studies at the Hunterian Art Gallery, University of Glasgow. She has curated many exhibitions related to Mackintosh and his contemporaries including the first retrospective of the work of Margaret Macdonald Mackintosh and Glasgow Museums' award-winning exhibition Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Annette Carruthers is a Senior Lecturer at the University of St Andrews. Her specialisms include the Arts and Crafts Movement and she has written, with Mary Greensted, on the Arts and Crafts Collections of Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museums. Janice Helland is a Professor in the Institute of Women's Studies and Department of Art, Queen's University, Canada. She is a leading scholar in the history of nineteenth-century women artists and has published widely on the subject. Juliet Kinchin is a Senior Lecturer and Honorary Reader at the Department of History of Art, University of Glasgow. She has written extensively on decorative arts and design of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Joseph Sharples worked as Assistant Curator of Fine Art with the National Museums of Liverpool from 1990 to 2001. He is currently working in the School of History, University of Liverpool, undertaking research into the building activities of the city's nineteenth-century merchants.
