Andy Wasowski is a writer and photographer specializing in gardening and environmental issues. His work has appeared in such publications as The American Gardener, Fine Gardening, Wildflower, E Magazine, Sunset, Sierra, and Time-Life Books. A frequent speaker at gardening and environmental conferences and workshops nationwide, Wasowski has also been a commentator on NPR's "Living on Earth" and "The Cultivated Gardener". Sally Wasowski is nationally recognized for her groundbreaking work in promoting the use and appreciation of native plants. Her books, written with Andy Wasowski, cover Texas, the Southeast, the Southwest, Southern California, and the pralrie states. Andy and Sally Wasowski have been honored by the American Horticultural Society and the Canadian Wildflower Society for their work. They live near Taos, New Mexico.
