Ioan Roberts was born in Rhoshirwaun on the Llyn Peninsula, and after spending time in Montomeryshire, Wrexham and Pontypridd he's currently based in Pwllheli. Before working as a journalist, he was a civil engineer for a short period. He's been an editor for HTV, a news broadcaster for Radio Cymru and has produced programmes for S4C, as well as writing and editing several books.
