About Sir J. M. Barrie

James Matthew Barrie was born was born in Kirriemuir, Scotland in 1860. Barrie always knew he wanted to be a writer and became a journalist after completing a degree at Edinburgh University. By 1891, he was a best-selling author and had received much critical acclaim.
