Leah's Star Reviews

The story is beautifully told with stunning illustrations. The text and illustrations work so perfectly together they make the Christmas story speak to each reader on a very personal level. I adored it, and in this era of commercialism, it's so important to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Annie Everall - A retelling told over the shoulder of Leah, the innkeeper's daughter. Littlewood's watercolours and Bateson-Hill's read-aloud narrative bring a sense of realism to the Nativity story. Leah herself invites the reader to stand beside her offering in a far more intimate experience. - Mathew Tobin, Senior Lecturer in English and Children's Literature, Oxford Brookes University. @Mat_at_Brookes - Twitter
