Summary

More than 350 years ago in China, a 16-year-old renegade monk called Ying led a brutal attack on his former temple. Only five young warrior monks managed to escape. Each young monk specialized in a different style of animal kung fu that reflected both his body type and personality. These young monks are known as The Five Ancestors. This first adventure tells of Fu - the Tiger.

Tiger Summary

Tiger by Jeff Stone

Fu manages to escape the attack on his temple. Later he returns to the burning temple grounds alone, and takes a set of secret Dragon Scrolls from Tonglong, not realising the chain of events he is unleashing. He then disappears into the forest, eventually crossing paths with a group of hunters who are about to kill a tiger and her cub. Fu viciously attacks the hunters and a young boy traveling with them, but when he later tracks them down to apologise, he is imprisoned in a village where a man who may be his father is living. Fu is given up to Ying's soldiers who are just as interested in the Dragon scrolls as they are. The young monk, Malao, the monkey, tries to rescue Fu but ends up captured as well and both are sent off to be executed along with their brother Hok who is also captive.
