In 2015 old people are dumped on motorways, teenage beggars crowd the streets, and unemployment is a way of life. 16-year-old Gillian has a job, but still wants somewhere to scream. She's tempted to run off with the unconventional Rick, but that would mean leaving her much-loved grandfather.
