About Ian Serraillier

Ian Serraillier was born in London in 1912, and educated at Brighton College and St.Edmund Hall, Oxford. From 1961 he worked in his Sussex home writing mainly for children. His main achievements included novels, poetry, retellings in verse and prose, educational and local history books. He died in November 1994.
