Most of his inventions remained two-dimensional ideas in his notebooks, but now two designers passionate about virtual worlds (and Leonardo) have digitally reworked his inventions to bring to life an amazing array of machines from parachutes and an ornithopter flying machine to an armoured car and an eight barrelled machine gun.
