Note: a heavily damaged book with detached title page. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Some staining and marking, mostly to first few pages. Minor annotations to contents page. Title page detached but present. A few dog-eared corners. Slight gutter cracking. Boards have heavy edge wear, with intense bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are very crushed and frayed. Peeled edges of cloth sections and spine label. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Intense water staining to front and rear. Book has a moderate forward lean. Gilt is bright.
