Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Minor pencil marks and notes to margins throughout. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout but binding remains reasonably firm. Previous owner inscription to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing and splitting to spine ends with rub wear all over. Moderate dust staining to boards Cloth is split and fraying at the rear spine edge. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
