Pages are heavily tanned and foxed, with former owner's inscription to front free endpaper. Gutters are moderately cracked with binding exposed. Binding remains mostly firm. Index page is slightly loose and chipped, with folding to following page. Chip to page 175 corner, with visible thumb-marking present throughout. Rubbing and a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tannin to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a subtle forward lean and bow. Liquid drops on front and rear board.
