"Baptist Praise and Worship" is the first new Baptist Hymnbook for 30 years and as such reflects the developments in Baptist life of recent times. Over 500 hymns and songs have been included, ranging from the traditional to the more modern, and are divided into thematic sections: Call to Worship, Proclaiming the Gospel, Celebrating the Gospel, and Living the Gospel. Dispersed through the book, at the end of each of these sections, are 100 responsive readings for congregational use, together with more the 50 psalms. The tunes and settings have been selected to accommodate a wide variety of musical tastes and abilities. As a new feature guitar chords have been included wherever possible, making this new Baptist hymnbook suitable for traditional, informal or spontaneous worship.
