American author/illustrator team Sylvia Branzei and Jack Keely invented the term grossology to describe the "science of really gross things". Sylvia says, "Grossology is the science of really gross things. Grossologists are people who study really gross things. You too can become a grossologist. It isn't hard, as long as you have a strong stomach."
