The principal aim of this new textbook is to provide a clear and coherent account of the law of civil liberties and human rights for the undergraduate law student. In particular, the text focuses on the position of civil liberties' protection in the light of the Human Rights Act 1998 and the standards of human rights protection laid down, principally by The European Convention on Human Rights and its case law.
