This is a fantastic inspiration to instil confidence in your free-motion quilting skills! A lot of the titles on the market tend to concentrate on piecing with the quilting stitch often dismissed as a secondary notion. This book answers all your queries and gives easy-to-follow instructions on how to achieve a variety of designs and to produce them on different scales. Sheila promises to have you interested, involved and then addicted through her projects, giving an increasingly complicated design for each of these stages. The introductory section takes you through the tools you need, how to choose designs and colour options, and then sends you forth to quilt! The design section, broken down into main quilt, borders and sashing details looks at quilting patterns called Springy Things, Spurs, Blossom, Swoosh and Swirl, M & M's, Continuous Curve, Breezy Maple Leaves, Poison Ivy and Sunshine, Asian, Topographic and Feather Play. Finally, at the end there's on fabulous quilt to piece and then try out your new skills on. I can't recommend this title highly enough.
