These teacher's notes provide guidance on using and extending work in the "Heinemann Mathatics 7" pupils' materials, whilst leaving teachers free to use their own methods and approach. The information is intended to be sufficient for both the specialist and the non-specialist. A general introduction to the course and its structure is followed by maps showing the links between Core, Support and Extension work; a description of the mathematical content and development of each section of work; advice on record-keeping, together with a variety of photocopiable record-keeping sheets; a list of equipment needed; and suggestions for related, introductory and additional activities.
