The text is based on evidence provided by the Bank of English language database, making it representative of today's language in its selection of words and in the order of meanings. All entry words are shown in colour for ease of use and the dictionary includes further help with usage, such as spelling reminders, pronunciation comments and typical sentence patterns, in notes at the end of a number of entries.
