Luciano Maiani is Emeritus Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Sapienza University of Roma and a former Director General of CERN.Prof. Maiani predicted the existence and properties of charged particles (GIM mechanism) crucial to the formulation of a gauge theory of electroweak interactions. Currently, his work is focused on the formation of quarkgluon plasma in heavy ion collisions.Prof. Maiani chaired the XXI Edoardo Amaldi Conference.

Dr.Lowenthalis an elected fellow of the AmericanAssociation for the Advancement of Science and the American Physical Society(APS), and a past chair of the APS Forum on Physics and Society. Dr. Lowenthal was Member of the Board of the XXI Edoardo Amaldi Conference.
Wolfango Plastino is Professor of Applied Physics at the Roma Tre University. Prof. Plastino is Member of the Standing Advisory Group on Technical Assistance and Cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Scientific Coordinator in the framework of the virtual Data Exploitation Centre (vDEC) of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) for testing and evaluation of algorithms and datasets in support of the verification mission on radionuclide event screening categorization. Prof. Plastino was Scientific Secretary of the XXI Edoardo Amaldi Conference.
