How to use this book

The clue is in the name: this is foremost a guide and companion. It is designed to be read with your Bible open next to you, or whilst listening to the Kevin DeYoung talks. The message is found in Scripture, while the illustrations become a handbook, helping to unpack and dig deeper into that message. Each page shows the progression of the verses and their implications, applying the truths to how we live our lives. The format lends itself well to the intertwining nature of the Bible, demonstrating connections which a written commentary might find cumbersome to explain. The notes also incorporate cross-references to other verses and passages from the Bible, helping you to open up the Word for yourself and weave the message into the context of the whole Bible.

This is Acts as you've never experienced it before!

Acts Reviews

An incredibly enlightening and inspiring presentation of one of the most significant eras of human history!

-- J. D. Greear (Pastor, The Summit Church, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina)

What communication! I found the combination of images and texts took the Books of Acts from black and white to colour. I was particularly gripped by the references to other parts of the Bible, which gloriously filled out the story of Acts.

-- Rico Tice (Author, Christianity Explored & Associate Minister at All Souls Church, Langham Place, London)

Kevin DeYoung and Chris Ranson have produced a wonderfully creative and biblically faithful visual commentary on Acts, hopefully the first of many.

-- David Cook (Retired Principal, Sydney Missionary and Bible College, Sydney, Australia)

... a unique, helpful and enjoyable guide to the book of Acts.

-- Sam Allberry (Apologist, RWriter and Editor for The Gospel Coalition and author of 'Is God Anti-Gay?')

I love what Kevin and Chris have done here: The truth of God's Word beautifully presented in a way that informs the head while stirring the heart.

-- Matt Chandler (Lead Pastor, The Village Church & President-Acts 29 Church Planting Network, Flower Mound, Texas)
