Around the World in 80 Days Summary

Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne

Phileas Fogg, a rich gentleman, joins some members of his private club in a wager that he cannot travel around the world in 80 days. Immediately he prepares for his departure, along with his servant, Passepartout. Little does Fogg know that Inspector Fix, a Scotland Yard detective seeking a bank robber who matches Fogg's description, is hot on their tail! Classics Illustrated tells this wonderful tale in colourful comic strip form, offering an excellent introduction for younger readers. This edition also includes theme discussions and study questions, which can be used both in the classroom and at home to further engage the reader in the story.
