Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall has written many books on plants and gardening, including Gardening Made Easy (Weidenfeld & Nicolson) and Peonies: The Imperial Flower (W&N). She is the grandmother of four young boys and the mother of TV chef Hugh, and lives in Gloucestershire.
