Sports are some of the most difficult areas for the illustrator or artist to tackle as very few sports involve participants in static poses for any length of time. This work solves that problem by showing over 1000 images of sporting action. The choice is comprehensive both in the range of sports covered and the variety of action depicted from the measured pace of bowls to the frenzied action of ice hockey or wrestling. The main stages are shown, from tennis players tensing before the serve to the moment of victory or defeat.
