About Edward Bawden

Edward Bawden (1903 - 1989) was born in Essex and studied at the School of Art in Cambridge and the Royal College of Art, where he was taught by Paul Nash. As well as landscape paintings and linocuts, Bawden worked on book illustrations and commercial graphics. During the Second World War he served as an Official War Artist.
