"'An affectionate, lively adventure... will appeal to any child who's ever nagged for a pet'Mail on Sunday"
"' A delightful story... The characterization is good... The book has a satisfactory and happy ending.... The text is simple, with large print, and vocabulary which is not too demanding yet not too repetitive either. The illustrations add interest and some humour.
