An excellent addition to the reading list - Mr Michael Hill, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Health Sciences, Staffordshire University; Really in depth book that spans the life span as well as the diabetes journey. This book explores multiple ways to support those living with diabetes and includes multiple side effects and risk factors that you may come across when caring for those with diabetes. This book has many diagrams and photographs in each chapter that helps explores the text and aids understanding of the topic. Each chapter is very different from the last but none is any less relevant they have chapters on diabetes and learning disability, diabetes and children and young people as well as pre conception care in diabetes and skin complications amongst others. Excellent for any student or registered staff even if they are diabetes specialists. Provides important information and references. 5 star review by 'Super Nurse' on studentnurse.org.uk

About Anne Phillips

Anne Phillips is a Senior Lecturer in Diabetes Care and Team Lead for Long Term Conditions at the University of York. She has previously worked as a District Nurse and a Diabetes Specialist Nurse in both community and acute care, and is on the editorial board of Practice Nursing.
