Irish Mist Summary

Irish Mist by Andrew M. Greeley

Dermot Michael Coyne isn't sure what he's gotten himself into. Marriage to Nuala Anne McGrail, that beautiful and vivacious "Celtic witch", a spitfire gifted with second sight, may be more than Dermot can take. Nuala has a successful singing career now, with a top-selling CD. She's been invited to sing at "Irish Aid", an international charity event in Dublin. But the plane hasn't even landed in Ireland before she has another one of her "spells" -- about the assassination of O'Higgins, the man who succeeded Michael Collins.

That O'Higgins was gunned down on the way to mass is generally known, but when Nuala gets on the trail, secrets start leaking from all over. Torrid affairs, secret loves, and liasons that ended in violence have left restless spirits everywhere. Nuala must do all that she (and poor Dermot) can do to bring the truth to light.

And there are always people who want to snuff out that light -- and its source -- to keep the truth hidden. Dermot thinks things may be much too dangerous this time. He suggests that they really should leave things be, but there's no telling Nuala anything once her mind is made up.
