Summary
Bessie doesn't believe in fairies, but even she begins to wonder when she meets strange old Mrs Leaf. This story, in a nostalgic pre-war setting, tells of their enduring friendship which suggests that fairies do exist. Tony Ross's other books include Don't Do That and I Want a Cat.
