About Thoralf M. Sundt

Dr. Thor M. Sundt is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Edward D. Churchill Professor Surgery at the Harvard Medical School. He has authored over 300 publications in the peer-reviewed literature and numerous book chapters. This would be his first experience editing a book although he has edited the journal Operative Techniques in Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery in the past. He is Past President of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Duke E. Cameron is an attending surgeon the Massachusetts General Hospital and Professor of Surgery at the Harvard Medical School. He was formerly Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He has previously co-edited several books in cardiac surgery including Current Therapy in Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery. He is Past President of the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.
Dr. Myles E. Lee is the original author of the first edition of this book.At the time of its initial publication in 1992 he was the Director of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood California.Dr. Lee reissued the book in 2009 after the copyright reverted to him with the discontinuation of medical publishing by Arnold.Dr. Lee retired from clinical practice in 2016.
