Jingle Bells Summary

Jingle Bells by Nick Butterworth

Lottie and Jack are two mice who live on a farm. They are blissfully happy - except for Angus the Cat, who is mean nasty and downright dangerous.

He steals their Christmas lunch and even makes sure they have no presents on Christmas Day. The little mice decided to visit Gavin the rat ( or Ton Chi, as he prefers to be called.) to see if there is any way they can sort out their problem. On the way, they discover a beautiful little golden bell, which gives the wise old rat a brilliant idea of how to help his friends.

Nick Butterworth is one of the foremost author/illustrators working today. The new Christmas book, with it characteristic humour and warmth, will delight children and their families.

Christmas doesn't look too promising for the two mice Lottie and Jack with that Cat hanging about and spoiling their fun. When Cat writes a note informing Father Christmas that the mice have gone away for Christmas, Lottie and Jack decide to consult the clever rat Ton-Chee. Hers is a humorous solution which ensures that the mice will know when Cat is preparing to create havoc.
