About Marcelo de Paula Loureiro

Marcelo de Paula Loureiro: MD from the Federal University of Parana (Brazil, 1995), specialized in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Bordeaux II (France, 1998); master in Principles of Surgery from FEPAR (Brazil, 2003). He is Doctor in Surgery from the University of Sao Paulo (Brazil, 2009); Graduate of the General Coordinator for Minimally Invasive Surgery Jacques Perissat Institute / Positivo University (Brazil) since 2005. It belongs to the Master of the Standing Nucleo Biotechnology at Positivo University where he serves as professor and coordinator of the Department of Biomaterials and dissertation advisor. Responsible for Digestive Surgery Service at the Hospital of Curitiba (Brazil). He has worked for 16 years as a surgeon of the digestive system, with emphasis on Gastroenterological Surgery, Bariatric Surgery and metabolic (obesity) surgery of hernias of the abdominal wall and surgery hyperhidrosis. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (SOBRACIL), the Brazilian College of Surgeons (CBC), the Brazilian Society for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SBCBM) and the Brazilian Society of Hernia. Member of European Association of Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) of the American Hernia Society (AHS) and the International Federation of Surgery of Obesity (IFSO).
