About Karen Paik

Karen Paik works in the development department at Pixar, where she has worked on Ratatouille, Up, and Monsters University. She is the author of The Art of Ratatouille and To Infinity and Beyond!: The Story of Pixar Animation Studios. John Lasseter is a two-time Academy Award-winning director and Chief Creative Officer, Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, and Principal Creative Officer, Walt Disney Imagineering. Dan Scanlon is the director of Monsters University. Pixar Animation Studios, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, is an Academy Award(R)-winning film studio with world-renowned technical, creative and production capabilities in the art of computer animation. Creator of some of the most successful and beloved animated films of all time, including Toy Story, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, UP, and, most recently, Toy Story 3, the northern California studio has won 24 Academy Awards and its nine films have grossed more than $5 billion at the worldwide box office to date
