When Tom's favourite Shetland pany, Storm, is sold to work in the coal mines, he is devastated. The poor little black pony will have to work underground for the rest of his life - never seeing the sky or breathing fresh air! And when there is a terrible accident at the mine, Tom wonders if he'll see Storm again...
