Letters from School by John Rae
This collection of imaginary letters is based on a variety of real issues which arise in schools today. Drawing on his experience as a headmaster, John Rae deals with topics ranging from stealing, bullying and racialism, drugs, alcohol and sex, to teachers who cannot control the classroon or who becone emotionally involved with their pupils. He also offers advice on the important questions parents should ask when selecting a school. John Rae was headmaster of Westminster School for 16 years. He has written numerous articles for a variety of publications, including "The Times", "The Independent", "Encounter" and "TES". He is also the author of "The Custard Boys", "Reach for Glory", "Conscience and Politics" and "The Public School Revolution: Britain's Independent School, 1964-1979"
