John Macquarrie is Lady Margaret Professor of Divinity Emeritus at the University of Oxford. He is one of the most famous philosophers of religion writing in English, and his numerous books include Principles of Christian Theology, Jesus Christ in Modern Thought and Twentieth Century Religious Thought.
