About John Agard

John Agard, poet, performer and story teller, was born in Guyana. He came to Britain in 1977. He is the author of many successful poetry books for children and in 1982, his first adult collection, Man to Pan, won the Casas de las Americas Prize. Lovelines to a Goat-Born Lady, John Agard's poems to Grace Nichols, is also published by Serpent's Tail.
