Designed to develop practical language skills for business purposes, this course is aimed at school students following such schemes as the Oxford and Cambridge Certificate in German for Business Studies (formerly AO), FLAW, FLIC, and TVEI; students in colleges, polytechnics and universities studying German with a practical bias; and people in commerce and industry who are likely to need a knowledge of German in the course of their work. This Level 2 coursebook trains students in business areas such as applying for jobs, dealing with quotes, orders, payment, and specifications on packaging, and preparing for a business trip. It also introduces background skills such as telephoning, letter-writing and sending telexes. A corresponding teacher's book and cassette are also available.
