About Henry Stedman

Co-authored by Henry Stedman & Joel Newton. Born in Chatham, Kent, Henry Stedman has been writing guidebooks for over 15 years and is the author or co-author of over a dozen titles, including the South West Coast Path series Parts 1 to 3: Exmoor & North Devon Coast Path, Cornwall Coast Path and Dorset & South Devon Coast Path, Kilimanjaro - The trekking guide to Africa's highest mountain, Dolomites Trekking, Coast to Coast Path, Hadrian's Wall Path, as well as the Rough Guides to Indonesia and Southeast Asia and The Bradt Guide to Palestine. When not travelling or writing, Henry lives in England editing other people's guidebooks, maintaining his Kilimanjaro website and arranging climbs on the mountain through his company, Climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Joel Newton took his first footsteps on the South-West Coast Path in 2007. With ill-fitting shoes and a bag that was far too heavy he set off from Minehead, eventually arriving in Falmouth five weeks later with a far lighter bag and an injured foot. That journey was over but it was to become the inspiration for many more including Offa's Dyke Path, West Highland Way, Great Glen Way, Hadrian's Wall Path, Cotswold Way, and sections of The Pennine Way - in addition to finishing the SWCP. He finally reached Poole Harbour whilst co-authoring his third book for Trailblazer, Dorset & South Devon Coast Path. His first book was Exmoor & North Devon Coast Path.
