Torchon Lace Patterns by Henk Hardeman
A collection of 40 lace patterns, designed, drawn and photographed especially for this book. Within the boundaries of torchon lace, sometimes known as Beggar's lace, new variations have been applied in pattern interpretation and production. The book provides diagrams which indicate how the patterns should be worked and are built up with symbols, each representing a stitch. The explanation of symbols is in accordance with the method, which leaves the pairs untwisted after each stitch. The prickings included in the book may be torn out and used directly on the pillow or traced-off in the conventional manner.
