Some sample facts and figures from the new Emirates Stadium: The entire cost of the stadium was GBP390 million. Over 60,000 cubic metres of concrete was used and 3,000 tons of tubular steel is in the roof alone - 30 times more than Highbury's North Bank! The stadium contains enough glass to cover two football pitches. The metal hand rails could stretch for 4.5 kilometres. Each Diamond Vision video screen weighs more than 5 tonnes. The pitch has it's own fresh air system, under-soil heating, vacuum system for drainage and pop-up irrigation. The redevelopment scheme created 2,500 new homes, 1,800 new jobs, a GBP60 million recycling centre and four new health facilities.
