These photocopiable books are designed to address the need for new and lively vocabulary-building activities which take account of the term-by-term content organizations of the word-level strand of the National Literacy Framework. Each book is divided into three sections, one for each school term. Teachers can use the worksheets for shared and group work during "Literacy Hour" - in particular the second 15 minutes which follows "Shared Reading". The books aim to provide continuity of approach and progression year on year to ensure that children encounter the range of vocabulary and build vocabulary knowledge specified in the National Framework's recommended word lists.
