Marcia Muller and Bill Pronzini are best-selling authors and editors of crime fiction, who have both won the Private Eye Writers of America's Lifetime Achievement Award. Muller is best known for her character Sharon McCone, who appeared in 1977 as the first female private investigator in American detective fiction. Pronzini has published (alone or in collaboration) more than forty novels, including twenty-four in his popular "Nameless Detective" series.
