Enid Blyton died in 1968 but remains one of the best-known and best-loved writers of children's stories. She is consistently voted number one in children's favourite author polls. She has over 600 children's books to her credit, including the Famous Five series (21 titles), the Secret Seven series (15 titles), the Naughtiest Girl series (4 titles), all available from Hodder, and the Malory Towers series (available from Hodder on audio).. Anne Digby is the author of many school and mystery adventure stories, including the Trebizon and Me, Jill Robinson series. As a child one of her favourite books was Enid Blyton's The Secret Mountain, which helped influence her ambition to become a writer herself.
