Merchant Gourmet was founded in 1995 by brothers Mark and Oliver Leatham. The first brand was the first to bring specialty foods like Camargue red rice and ready-to-eat chestnuts to the UK market, and later to speed up 'slow food' by introducing ready-to-eat Puy lentils and quinoa pouches - the first of their kind in the UK.
Since then, their range of pulses and grains has grown and their numerous products, aimed at making the home cook's life as easy and delicious as possible, are available in supermarkets all over the UK.
