Tenzin Phuntsok Loden, the Eleventh Lelung Jedrung Rinpoche, was born in 1970, and recognized by the Great Fourteenth Dalai Lama in 1984. He was educated in Drepung Monastic University for another thirteen years. After graduating, he offered back his monastic vows, considering that, due to the nature of the times, he could be more of help to His Holiness and to Tibet by working in the lay world. He has done years of research in the effort to revive the Lelung Jedrung lineage, finding and publishing in Tibetan many of the rare works of his predecessors.
