John Lyon was Senior Lecturer in Spanish at the University of Bristol. He is author of a full-length study of Valle-Inclan's theatre and of several articles on twentieth-century Spanish novels and drama. He has also edited and translated Tirso de Molina's La Venganza de Tamar (Tamar's Revenge) for the present series.
