Robert Marsh grew up in Omaha, but longed to live somewhere else. He pretended he didn't live in Omaha by reading lots and lots of comics and books. He went to the library every week and checked out twenty books at a time. Since he didn't have time to read all those books before they were due, he would read the first chapter of each book then make up the rest of the story in his head. Robert now makes up stories for a living. He doesn't live in Omaha. He lives somewhere else. Dreams do come true. Tom Percival was born and raised in the wilds of Shropshire, England, a place of such remarkable natural beauty that Tom decided to sit in his room every day, drawing pictures and writing stories. But that was all a long time ago, and much has changed since then. Now, Tom lives in Bristol, England, where he sits in his room all day, drawing pictures and writing stories while his patient girlfriend, Liz, and their baby son, Ethan, keep him company.
