This book features steam locomotives at work in such places as Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Selby, Harrogate, Skipton, Ribblehead, Halifax and the Calder Valley. The various chapters include one devoted to the legendary Royal Scot class locomotives, another to the work of Robert Anderson's good friend the late John Beaumont, while the final chapter covers steam locomotives used by various industrial concerns ranging from coal mines to sewerage works.
