Specially written for students aged 14 and above, for use in class and at home, this dictionary is based on the requirements of the National Curriculum. The wide range of vocabulary, including curriculum and technical terms, and the additional features such as etymologies and word histories, usage and grammar, have all been specifically requested by teachers at this level. Although compiled with the National Curriculum for England and Wales in mind, the dictionary is intended to be equally valuable for students aged 14 and above in Scotland and overseas.
