This text provides an up-to-date geography of Scotland for schoolchildren aged 10 to 14. The book is aimed specifically at students in Scotland, and is linked with the Environmental Studies programme, in particular the Understanding People and Place attainment outcome. Scotland's varied landscapes are presented through thematic and regional case-studies covering changes in environment, countryside, work and population. Historic aspects are integrated into the text when appropriate.
